Jay Konieczka, PhD, is the Chief Operating Officer and Cofounder of enEvolv, a pioneer in ultra-rapid whole genome engineering. He oversees enEvolv’s R&D operations and external collaborations. Prior to enEvolv, Dr. Konieczka was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratories of Erin O’Shea and Aviv Regev at Harvard University and The Broad Institute, where he combined experimental and computational approaches in genome analysis. He has extensive experience in comparative functional genomics and molecular genetics. Dr. Konieczka has Bachelors degrees in Computer Science and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona.
