VIB is organizing the first edition of Medical Biotechnology on 24-25 May 2018 in Ghent. We would like to invite junior scientists to showcase their own research to the international research community during the poster sessions at the conference. The best abstracts will be selected for a presentation! Abstracts can be submitted until 26 March 2018 via the website.
What can you expect?
- Keynote speakers Carl June, director of the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies at the Perelman School of Medicine, UPenn, Gary Nabel, CSO and Head of the North American Hub for Global R&D at Sanofi, and Michael Snyder, Stanford Ascherman Professor and Chair of Genetics and the Director of the Center of Genomics and Personalized Medicine will be giving talks;
- Especially for junior researchers there is a ‘Meet the Expert' session with Dr. Annemieke Geluk on the 24th of May. Seating is limited, so to reserve your spot, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org;
- Ample opportunities to discuss and network during the posters sessions, the breaks, the guided tour & the conference dinner!;
- The conference will take place in one of the unique buildings of the UGent: the Aula, build by the 19th century Ghent's most famous architect, Louis Roelandt. Read more about the history of the Aula here.
