The first edition of the VIB Conference Phase Transitions in Biology and Disease took place on 2 and 3 May 2017 in Leuven. This meeting gathered leading figures from the phase transition and protein aggregation field, whose work has spearheaded the recent developments. The meeting attracted 150 attendees from around the world.
