The 2nd edition of Structural Dynamics in Cellular Communication took place last week in Brussels. Several speakers presented cutting edge data and showcased where this exciting field is heading. The meeting coincided with the official opening of the new VIB-VUB facility for Bio Electron Cryogenic Microscopy in Brussels.
"Cryo-electron microscopy is conquering biology" says Wim Hol, one of the organizers of SDICC18. Several speakers highlighted this by showcasing the novel possibilities this technique offers during their presentations.
40 junior reseachers presented their own research during the poster sessions and the numorous networking opportunities led to many lively discussions.
