Here is a short recap on how VIB tried to bridge the translational gap in immunopathology, bringing together clinicians, research scientists and industry partners to discuss prominent advances from the bench to the clinic.

It has been a tremendous pleasure to welcome 421 attendees (181 online and 240 in-person) in Leuven this week for two days of engaging science at New Horizons in Alzheimer’s Disease.

A year ago, the first edition of the Tumor Heterogeneity, Plasticity and Therapy conference, was planned in Leuven. As the global pandemic intervened, the conference was postponed to 2021 and switched to a virtual format. While a completely online conference comes with its challenges, this first edition was definitely a success. The impressive line-up of speakers and the diverse program attracted 420 attendees, who contributed to the interactive atmosphere together with speakers, sponsors and organizers.

Four Belgian professional societies have joined forces in the organization of a one-day, Interdisciplinary symposium on COVID-19. The program will provide a comprehensive summary of contemporary knowledge on COVID-19.
