Parallel - Meet the Expert Session on microscopy: Zeiss

Always wanted to follow a molecule on its journey through the cytoplasm? Or maybe you sometimes struggle to find right microscope or settings for your imaging experiment?
This is your chance to ask microscopy related questions. From basic principles to information on high end techniques; we are happy to share our knowledge.
During this session Cicerone Tudor and Jarno Voortman product application specialist will be present. Together they cover the complete portfolio of ZEISS form digital classroom solutions, up to high resolution confocal, automated microscopy and correlative microscopy.

Jarno studied Biomolecular Sciences at University of Utrecht. In the years after worked as research technician in the group of Dr. Paul van Bergen en Henegouwen in the Cell biology department. It was here that his passion for microscopy started. He got the change to setup life cell imaging techniques, particle tracking, and TIRF microscopy for the group in close collaboration with the Biophysics department of prof. Hans Gerritsen. Next to that, he specialized in FRET/FLIM co-localisation assays. He was heavily involved in microscopy courses on bachelor and master level for biology and chemistry students at Utrecht University
