Biography
Paul Schaffer is the Lifecycle Leader Sequencing Platforms at Roche Diagnostics. He is responsible for the 454 Life Sciences sequencing business and to manage the life cycle activities involved in bringing the Roche-Pacific Biosciences platform to market. He holds a Bachelor in Marine Science- Biology from Southampton College and a Masters in Marine Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Delaware. He started his career in 1995 at Myriad Genetics and transitioned through Pfizer Inc, Agilix Corp, and Monsanto in various research functions, with increasing responsibilities. In 2007, he joined 454 Life Sciences R&D where he headed the Emulsion PCR development for the GS FLX Titanium platform.
