Ali Nabi

Ali is the Director of Informatics at GenapSys. In this role, he oversees the development of algorithms and analytical solutions from concept to production. Ali is a technical and strategic leader who is passionate about building high performance teams and enabling data driven solutions. He manages a team of scientists and engineers with diverse backgrounds and across various functionalities, spanning areas of Signal processing, Machine learning, Base calling, and Bioinformatics. Prior to joining GenapSys in early 2016, Ali was the Controls Technical Lead at another startup where he led a team of controls engineers in developing and integrating full stack controls algorithms. Before that, Ali worked as a Scientist in academia where he focused on design and development of hardware and software solutions for long term EEG/EMG/EKG recording and stimulation systems.

Ali holds a PhD in Controls, Dynamical Systems and Computation from UC Santa Barbara and earned his BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
