Dawei Zhang

Dr. Dawei Zhang is a professor in the College of Life Sciences at Sichuan University, China. He did a PhD in Botany at Sichuan University. He systematically studied the molecular mechanisms of brassinosteroid (BR) in regulating plant immunity, carbon starvation recovery, photomorphogenesis and root meristem development, and revealed the molecular network of interaction between different plant hormone signals and environmental signals by using combination of methods, including genetics, molecular biology and bioinformatics. Within the past five years, he published 22 original research papers in EMBO Journal, Plant Cell, Developmental Cell, New Phytologist and other journals and received awards in science and entrepreneurship. The H-index of him is 29. His future research will aim to further explore the molecular regulatory network of plant hormone in regulating plant growth, development and plant immunity, and provide the potential molecular targets and new insights into breeding high-yield and high-resistance crop varieties.
