Marta Ibañes

Dr. Marta Ibañes is an associate professor at the University of Barcelona (UB), in the Condensed Matter Physics department and in the Universitat de Barcelona Institute of Complex Systems (UBICS). Physicist by training (BS and PhD at UB), she initiated her research in Systems Biology at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies (USA), first as a Fulbright postdoctoral fellow. At the UB, she leads a group on adata-driven theoretical and computational approaches to understand emergent phenomena in both plants and animals and collaborates with wet laboratories. She has coordinated a master in Biophysics and is currently a scientific collaborator manager of AEI.
