Wenqiang Tang

Dr. Wenqiang Tang is a Principle Investigator and vice president of Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Biology at College of Life Sciences in Hebei Normal University. He did his PhD in Botany at University of Texas at Austin, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Institution for Science. At Hebei Normal University, Tang’s team is investigating Brassinosteroid signaling mechanisms and the role of Brassinosteroid signaling components in regulating plant sexual reproduction process. His recent discovery showed that different receptor-like kinases might share a conserved cellular BR signaling pathway to regulate the development of different plant tissues and/or organs, which might inspire new thought about how BR signaling pathway is evolved.
