On 19 & 20 November, VIB & LifeTime welcomed over 400 people for the very first virtual edition of ‘Emerging Technologies in Single Cell Research’. 24 speakers presented their novel technologies in plenary sessions focused on: Single Cell Epigenomics, Single Cell Multi-Omics, Single Cell Computational Biology, Single Cell Spatial Omics and New Single Cell Technologies to Study Disease.

In Sept 2013 VIB’s Technology Scouting team launched the Tools and Technology Conference Series with the first edition of Genome Engineering and Synthetic Biology. In September 2021, GESB will have its 4th edition.

After three very successful editions (Jan 2015 Leuven, March 2017 Antwerp and March 2019 Antwerp), VIB is proud to present the fourth edition of this Tools & Technologies conference.

VIB and LifeTime are proud to announce the first edition of Emerging Technologies in Single Cell Research, or SingleCell20 in short, taking place on 19-20 November 2020.  This is at the same time VIB’s first virtual conference.

As we are adjusting to the new normal, the playing field for conferences has changed. Hybrid and virtual events were already on the rise, but due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 Pandemic, these formats had to be evolved and finetuned in rapid tempo.

VIBes in Biosciences is an international symposium which aims to bring together PhD students working in a broad variety of life sciences fields, such as immunology, cancer biology, neuroscience and microbiology.
